Childbirth Class, Part 2: Preparing the Nest

Following up on the childbirth class post, one of the topics we covered was a collection of subtle signs that might indicate approaching labor & delivery. One of those signs was an irresistible and otherwise unexplainable drive in the mom to "prepare the nest" - that is, she might start cleaning the house, arranging furniture differently, getting the nursery ready, even re-arranging things in cabinets. On that note, I walked into the kitchen last night and witnessed this:

Yep, we might have a baby very soon...

Childbirth Class, etc.

This past weekend, Jenny and I spent a total of 11 hours in a childbirth class at Gwinnett Medical Center. Lovely. All the delivery videos you can handle. Honestly, it was extremely beneficial in that it exposed us to things for which we would have never been prepared. The maternity ward tour was a highlight. Who knew that hospital rooms can come with jetted tubs and mahogany furniture? I encourage everyone to take it, but you should probably be pregnant first.

On an unrelated note, my camera woes have been solved! Time to begin illustrating the site, when I get some pictures, that is. Just for fun, here is a photo of my law firm's Calhoun office, which I took today for our firm website:

There will be more where that came from....

Let the People Praise

Last night, Jenny and I went to a CD release party for Aaron Shust. Aaron is a friend from Toccoa Falls whose music career is finally launching. Everyone, stop what you're doing right now and visit this website:

The party included a concert, which rocked. It was in Roswell, and I think about 300 people showed up. Most folks were affiliated with either (a) Toccoa Falls College or (b) Perimeter Church. Since both institutions produce awesome people, it wasn't so bad. We got home late, and I got very little sleep before heading out to another day of work. This is GREAT training for when the baby comes....

A New Direction

What? This isn't Potiphar's Door? Oh well...that's because I was tired of trying to come up with things to talk about that are better discussed over some good cigars with my college buddies. Now the blog will go in a new direction...keeping everyone updated on the lives of the Bojo's (the Brian, Jenny, Aggie, and soon Mary Kate variety). This is mainly for the benefit of my awesome sister and her family, who are in the military and therefore we don't get to see them on a daily basis like we wish we could.

Enjoy. Foof, hope you like it. Since I am currently without the ability to post photos, it might look a little boring, but I'm about a week away...
